I came across three questions that everyone should ask themselves, and here they are... I got them from a talk given by Joel Osteen, if you want to hear it in more detail.
1. Why? What is your why in life? Having a why makes the world so much more enjoyable and your purpose so much more powerful. I can't believe it when someone tells me that they do have any goals or plans for their future! What kind of a future is that? A life with no purpose is pointless, a life with direction is limitless. So why? Remember, when your WHY gets powerful the how gets easier.
2. Why not? Seriously, why not? What else do you have to do while you are here on this earth. If you are alive and breathing, you have two choices. One is to sit on the couch and let life pass you by, the other is to get off the couch and do something fantastic. What do you want it to say on your tombstone... the person who let life pass them by or the person who made their life extraordinary? The choice of who you will become is entirely up to you.
3. Why not you? We all love to hear the rags to riches stories! You know, the one where the man lived on the streets and is now a best selling author, or the welfare mom who had an idea and acted on it and is now CEO of her own company and become Independently Wealthy. Who doesn't feel empowerment when they hear stories like this? After all, is they could have so much against them and yet still rise to the occasion and become extraordinary, why can't you? If they can change/learn/grow why couldn't you? You can start from nothing or below nothing too and become the next "American Dream".
After hearing these few questions, it really changed my outlook on a few things. I don't feel selfish anymore when I think of what I truly want in life, and I am not afraid to get my hands dirty and do uncomfortable things to get what I want in life, either. So what's it going to be for you? Are you going to be content with life as it is, or are you willing to get uncomfortable and get off the couch and do something extraordinary with your life? Remember, the choice is up to you. You are in control of your own destiny, and I hope you make it a fantastic one. You know that I will!
